Lorraine Kelly and Andi Peters said goodbye to a beloved colleague during Thursday's show10:44, 21 May 2026The stars of Lorraine shared some exit news during the latest episode.Lorraine Kelly returned to her ITV daytime programme on Thursday (May 21), where she interviewed model and TV personality Jo Wood, as well as discussing some of the day's biggest news stories.Later in the show, Lorraine handed over to Andi Peters, who was presenting the competition live from Surrey. Before presenting the competition details, Andi sent his best wishes to the show's director, Barry, who is set to leave the programme."I'd like to say good luck to somebody, Lorraine - to Barry, our director. This is the last time he gets to work with me and you. So, Barry, goodbye," Andi began.Lorraine optimistically added: "For now! He's talking to me now [points to ear piece]."Andi went on: "We'd like to say goodbye to our family, part of our family. Goodbye Barry," before saying: "He's telling me to get on with it, so I better!"The exit comes after several changes to the programme, following ITV cuts last year. Lorraine was cut from an hour to 30 minutes as a result of the changes, with Good Morning Britain being extended by half an hour to fill the gap.Lorraine, which used to run for almost the entire year, now only airs for 30 weeks out of 52, with GMB being extended until 10am during the weeks Lorraine is not on air. Loose Women has also been cut to 30 weeks a year, but has remained in its current daytime slot.Kevin Lygo, the managing director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, previously said that the broadcaster was going through a "transition".He said: "I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off-screen in our Daytime production teams. We will work with ITV studios and ITN as they manage these changes to produce the shows differently from next year, and support them through this transition."Daytime has been a core element of ITV's schedule for over 40 years and these changes will set ITV up to continue to bring viewers award-winning news, views and discussion as we enter our eighth decade."During today's Lorraine, Andi shared details of a "never done before" competition.Addressing viewers on GMB earlier this week, Andi said: "Listen carefully at home - this is the big bit. You can see it on screen now. £115,000. I do cash all the time, it's a huge amount of money. Life-changing amount of money launching on television today.Article continues below"But if you win, they win. Because if you win that prize of £115,000, I'm going to give somebody you know £10,000. So, of course, you could give it to your friend, to your brother."Susanna Reid, who was left visibly gobsmacked by the change, said: "Love it!"Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 at 9.30am
