Zadok Yohanna could face an anxious wait over his participation in Nigeria’s upcoming Unity Cup campaign after Allmänna Idrottsklubben (AIK) confirmed they have yet to decide if they will release the winger for international duty.

The Nigerian youngster has emerged as one of the breakout stars of the new Swedish league season, producing a string of impressive performances that have quickly elevated his profile both in Scandinavia and within the Super Eagles setup.

Yohanna’s explosive form earned him a maiden invitation from Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle ahead of the invitational tournament, with the winger viewed as one of the exciting attacking options being monitored for the future of the national team.

The AIK forward has registered two goals and three assists in just seven league appearances this season, establishing himself as one of the club’s most influential players despite his relatively young age.

However, his availability for Nigeria now remains uncertain.
