Mike White is continuing his tradition of inviting “Survivor” players to “The White Lotus.”

Before White created his now-beloved HBO dramedy, he competed on “Survivor” Season 37. Then, right after Season 3 of “The White Lotus” was released, he headed back to Fiji to compete on “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans.” There, after being eliminated, he wrote the scripts for “The White Lotus” Season 4.

During the live “Survivor 50” finale on Wednesday, host Jeff Probst interviewed White via video call — the writer-director couldn’t make it to the taping in Los Angeles, as he’s currently out of the country shooting “The White Lotus.” Because White has previously cast “Survivor” players such as Cirie Fields, Angelina Keeley and Christian Hubicki in cameos for the show, Probst asked whether he had any news to share.

Charlie Davis and Kamilla Karthigesu will soon be flying out to France to appear in “The White Lotus” Season 4, White said.

The main cast of “The White Lotus” Season 4 includes Laura Dern, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani and Nadia Tereszkiewicz. Additional cast includes Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer and Laura Smet.
