WASHINGTON — After years of advocating for a better coding system, ACOG said the AMA is replacing bundled global obstetric CPT codes created in the 1990s with new codes that reflect how maternity care is delivered today.The codes, which go into effect Jan. 1, will be used to bill for services related to prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
