Residents of communities affected by recent terrorist attacks in Oyo State have narrated how heavily armed teenage attackers invaded their areas, attacked schools and abducted many pupils and teachers during school hours.
One of the eyewitnesses, Victoria Oyedepo, who spoke with SaharaReporters during a visit to the community on Wednesday, said the attackers initially appeared like military personnel, causing residents to mistakenly believe government troops had arrived to protect them.

“We are tired of all that is happening. The security personnel deployed to our communities after the incident did not stay long,” the eyewitness said.
