Jerin G. Anand, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the 2008 batch, assumed charge as Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of the Palakkad Railway Division of Southern Railway on May 18. He succeeds K. Anil Kumar.Before his appointment to the Palakkad Division, Mr. Anand served as Chief Commercial Manager–Freight Marketing at Western Railway in Mumbai. He had earlier worked as Deputy Chief Operations Manager in Southern Railway, Chennai.Mr. Anand has held several positions in Indian Railways, including Senior Divisional Commercial Manager in the Thiruvananthapuram and Palakkad divisions, and Senior Divisional Operations Manager in the Thiruvananthapuram Division.According to a release, he attended a training programme on high-speed railways in Tokyo, Japan, and completed a management course in public policy at Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore.
