Not all the matches at the Fifa World Cup 2026 in the USA, Mexico and Canada will be available on free-to-air TV in France, so here's how to support your team through the tournament.

Broadcasting change is in the air in France, as the countdown to the Fifa World Cup 26, which kicks off on June 11th and runs to July 19th, continues.

For the first time since 1978, there’s a new free-to-air broadcaster of the tournament in the USA, Mexico and Canada — M6 acquired the broadcasting rights for the competition, at a price of €120 million, ending TF1’s long stint as France’s broadcaster of record for the tournament.

M6 and its sister channel W9 will broadcast 56 matches live from the tri-nation tournament, including every one of France’s games, as well as the opening match, the semi-finals, and the final.

Les Bleus kick off their bid for a third World Cup on June 16th against Group I opponents Senegal in New York. The match kicks off at 9pm France time. They then face Iraq, in Philadelphia, – June 22nd at 11pm; before finishing their group phase — hopefully with qualification to the Round-of-16 – against Norway, in Boston, at 9pm – June 26th.
