VIDEO: Neymar in tears after being named in Brazil World Cup squad
Brazil’s all-time top scorer Neymar Jr. was reduced to tears after learning he had been named in Brazil’s 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, marking his long-awaited return to the national team after more than two years out.
The injury-hit forward drew the loudest reaction when coach Carlo Ancelotti unveiled the squad.
Neymar became emotional after Ancelotti confirmed his place in the team. He later shared the moment on Instagram, posting a video showing him in tears alongside Bruna Biancardi and close friends as the announcement was made.
“My vision of one of the most emotional and happiest days of my life is already there on the YouTube channel AND THANK YOU, BRAZIL,” he captioned.
