After the uncertainty of the past couple of days over portfolio allocation, the UDF government on Wednesday submitted the list of its 21-member Cabinet to Governor Rajendra Arlekar.Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan has retained key portfolios, including Finance, Law, and Ports, while senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has been entrusted the Home and Vigilance portfolios, traditionally handled by chief ministers.The Industries and IT departments were allocated to P. K. Kunhalikutty of the Indian Union Muslim League. A. P. Anil Kumar of Congress was assigned the Revenue portfolio, while Sunny Joseph has been given charge of Electricity and Parliamentary Affairs. V. E. Abdul Gafoor will oversee the Fisheries department.K. Muraleddharan will be the Minister for Health and Devaswom, while P.C. Vishnunath will look after Tourism, Culture and Cinema. M. Liju will handle the Excise and Cooperation departments. Roji John will be the Minister for Higher Education and T. Siddique will be the new Agriculture Minister.Bindu Krishna has been allocated the Labour Ministry and Dairy Development, while K.A. Thulasi will be the Minister for SC/ST development. O.J. Janeesh will be the Sports Minister.The Muslim League’s N. Shamsudeen has been allocated the Education department, K.N. Shaji Local Self Government, and P.K. Basheer will be the PWD Minister.Kerala Congress leader Mons Joseph will handle the Irrigation department, while Anoop Jacob will be the Minister for Food& Civil Supplies.Shibu Baby John from RSP will be the Minister for Forest and Wild Life Protection, while C.P.
