Nielsen says that on EU membership Greenland has not decided yet

NUKK, Greenland – The relationship between the EU and the US is for others to decide, not me, Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said on Wednesday, just hours after Brussels moved ahead with the signature of the Turnberry deal.

His comments also came as Donald Trump’s envoy, Jeff Landry, is visiting the island following repeated remarks by the US president about purchasing or even annexing Greenland.

“We all need to look into de-escalation in terms of the Greenlandic question. [But] the focus is on my relationship with the EU and our cooperation,” Nielsen said in a press conference in Nuuk, answering Euractiv questions.
