NewsUK NewsGreater Manchester PoliceThree men who were found stabbed in an alleged Manchester city centre fight have now been arrested on suspicion of affray, police say11:06, 20 May 2026Updated 11:13, 20 May 2026Three men who were found with stab wounds after an alleged fight in Manchester city centre have been arrested.The trio were all found injured at the city's Piccadilly Gardens on Tuesday shortly before 10pm.A man in his 20s was found at the scene with stab wounds before being taken to hospital for treatment.Officers then found a man in his 50s nearby, who had also suffered stab wounds and was subsequently taken to hospital.A third man, aged in his 20s, later attended Manchester Royal Infirmary with a stab wound to his back.All three men have since been arrested on suspicion of affray, Greater Manchester Police said.Officers do not believe there to be a wider threat to the public, but said there will be an increased police presence in the area "as a precaution".A section of Piccadilly Gardens was seen cordoned off on Tuesday night, with multiple police vehicles, armed officers and paramedics in attendance, reports Manchester Evening News. A police helicopter was also deployed to the scene.Witnesses are now being urged to come forward if they have any information that could assist police in their investigation.Detective Superintendent Ian McNabb, of GMP's City of Manchester Central District, said: "The use of knives or violence in our communities is completely unacceptable."Incidents like this are incredibly serious and can have devastating consequences.
