The Kwara State Government has called on stakeholders in the health sector to collaborate on the development of a workable digital healthcare implementation plan aimed at improving service delivery across the state.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Saad Hamdalat, the call came at the opening of a three-day workshop on the development of a State-Specific Implementation Roadmap for the National Digital Health Initiative held in Ilorin.
Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Taoheed Abdullahi, who represented the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina El-Imam, said the workshop was designed to translate national health policies into practical actions that reflect the realities and healthcare needs of Kwara State.
The commissioner said, “The process is not merely a technical exercise, but a critical pathway to translate national health policies, priorities and commitments into practical actions tailored to the unique realities, opportunities and challenges of Kwara State.”
