Insider Brief
Quantinuum and Synopsys announced a strategic collaboration to integrate quantum computing into engineering simulation workflows aimed at overcoming computational limits in industrial design.
The companies said the effort will focus on computational fluid dynamics and electromagnetic simulation, where increasingly complex workloads are straining the capabilities of classical supercomputers and forcing tradeoffs between accuracy, cost, and runtime.
The collaboration aims to develop quantum-enabled engineering workflows that improve simulation accuracy, accelerate design cycles, reduce research and development costs, and allow engineers to adopt quantum-native solvers without changing existing design processes.
PRESS RELEASE — Quantinuum, a leading quantum computing company, today announced a strategic collaboration with Synopsys, a global leader in electronic design automation and engineering simulation, focused on the integration of quantum computing into the modern engineering toolkit to help overcome the “computational wall” believed to be limiting the pace of industrial innovation.
