Google and Samsung have shown the designs for upcoming smart glasses aimed at competing with Meta’s Ray-Ban branded spectacles, amid rising demand for wearable devices.
The companies worked with eyeglass firms Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, who are handling the manufacture of the frames, while Samsung has developed the electronics and Google has fine-tuned the software to work with its Android phones.
At the Google I/O conference, Xreal also showed its upcoming Project Aura glasses, which provide an immersive virtual reality experience also based on Android XR.
