Brazil’s oil-equity surrendered its divergence by close, and commodities reversed direction but the regime stayed stressed as metals replaced energy as the new pressure point. The mechanism is sequential unwind, not panic — the rotation winners of yesterday are the rotation losers of today, and the new defensive bid sits in Mexico. The thesis would be falsified only if MERVAL opens flat-to-positive Wednesday despite the NYC ADR rout, which the local Tuesday fade pattern argues against.
