Filipinos seeking entry-level government jobs, including K to 12 graduates, may apply for the Career Service Examination–Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) set on August 9, 2026.The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said the application period runs from May 14 to June 10, 2026, or until slots are filled.The exam is a requirement for eligibility to first- and second-level government positions.According to the CSC, applicants must meet the following qualifications:Must be a Filipino citizen Must be of good moral character Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense involving moral turpitude, dishonesty, immoral conduct, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or drug addiction Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian government position Must be at least 18 years old on the date of filing of application Must not have taken the same level of the Career Service Examination within three months prior to the exam dateSenior high school graduates and K to 12 completers may qualify for first-level positions under existing CSC policy.How to applyApplicants must:1. Accomplish the application form (CS Form No. 100, revised September 2016);2. Prepare the following requirements:Valid ID (or school ID for students) Passport-size ID photos with name tag and signature3. Pay the P500 examination fee4. Submit application personally to a CSC regional or field office.Applicants are advised to apply early, as some testing centers may stop accepting applications once slots are filled.The CSC said the exam will be conducted in multiple testing centers nationwide, usually in public schools and designated government facilities.Applicants will be assigned to their testing center through the Notice of School Assignment (NOSA), which will be released before the exam date.Exam detailsThe CSE-PPT will be conducted nationwide on August 9, 2026, covering both Professional and Subprofessional levels.Passing the exam grants civil service eligibility, which is required for many government positions.—MCG, GMA News
