After Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman's shock exit from the hit BBC dance show last October, there has been huge interest in who will replace them, and the wait to find out is now over.‌Yesterday, it was announced that Emma Willis, comedian Josh Widdicombe and former Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer Johannes Radebe will host the show.‌Strictly viewers have been divided over the announcement, with some slamming the choices as "awful" and others saying it is "fantastic". A fan wrote online: "Awful, not suited at all, what a come down."‌Another took issue with Widdicombe being included, saying he is a "comedian with no background of presenting or anything connected to dancing". Another encouraged people to give the new presenters a chance: "Emma and Josh are both fantastic presenters and nice people. So I urge everyone to actually give them a chance before crying about it. They went through months of screen tests and chemistry tests, please let's be open minded and trust the choices."Throughout the months since Tess and Claudia announced they were stepping down from Strictly, many names have been put forward to replace them. While both Emma and Josh were recent frontrunners, prior favourites for the roles have been Zoe Ball and Rylan Clark, as they both hosted spin off show It Takes Two.‌After it was reported that Zoe would be heading to the dancefloor alongside Emma, the star revealed that she had been rejected from the role. In an episode of her Dig It podcast, Zoe put on a brave face as she said she was thrilled to be “in the mix” of presenters who were invited to try out.“I didn’t get it, but it’s okay," said Zoe. "I have worked through the seven stages of grief and rejection over the last couple of days. I was so chuffed to even be in the mix. There were some pretty amazing people who didn’t even make it into the mix.‌“So I made it in the mix, and I had a really fun time having one last little play at a show that I love and adore. And I’m so thrilled for the gang that has got it. I think there’s been so many eyes on this whole process, everyone’s quite relieved now that a decision has been made and the right decision has been made."Rylan also suggested he had been rejected from the role. He posted a statement to Instagram, alongside a video of himself crying uncontrollably, which read: "Just wanted to say as it was reported I was in 'The Race' for Strictly, the biggest congrats to my Emma and equal congrats to Johannes and Josh."You're all going to have the best time.
