It’s not even funny how a fraught situation can push important issues into the background – or under wraps – as we continue thinking we are dealing with issues that really matter.

I have been observing the intensity with which we have been engrossed in the political developments in the country since a few years ago, and have noticed that we have lost our way in more ways than we seem to realise.

We are rivetted on the stormy events surrounding October 29 and the number of people killed and who is responsible for those deaths — no doubt a major bone of contention and one that has to be dealt with in the fullness of time.
