More than 400 labourers, including nearly 100 children, were rescued during a large-scale operation in Telangana’s Nizamabad district on Tuesday (May 19) after authorities uncovered alleged bonded labour conditions at a cluster of brick kilns in Armoor mandal.The rescue operation was carried out at four brick kilns in Degam village, also known as Degaon, where migrant workers from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Odisha were allegedly being forced to work under exploitative conditions.Officials said the raids were conducted at two sites belonging to BTR Brick Kiln, identified as the primary location, along with adjoining kilns linked to SSV Brick Kiln.

Armoor police along with other departments carried out raids at BTR Brick Kiln and adjoining sites where labourers were forced to work under exploitative conditions.
