May 19 (UPI) -- Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark will be the grand marshal for the 2026 Indianapolis 500, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced Tuesday.

The Greatest Spectacle in Racing will be held at 12:30 p.m. EDT Sunday in Indianapolis. Coverage will start at 10 a.m. on Fox.

"I'm honored to represent Gainbridge as grand marshal of the Indy 500," Clark said. "I'm looking forward to experiencing an iconic piece of what makes Indiana so special and being part of the time-honored tradition of 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.'"

Former New York Yankees teammates Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez served as grand marshals at the 2025 Indianapolis 500. Blake Shelton, Florence Henderson and Nastia Liukin are among other previous grand marshals.
