EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, confirmed that the former minister was apprehended around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Kaduna State.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, following his conviction and sentencing by the Federal High Court in Abuja over financial misappropriation allegations linked to his time in office.

EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, confirmed that the former minister was apprehended around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Kaduna State.

Mamman was arrested alongside two individuals allegedly providing protection for him at the time of the operation.

The anti-graft agency disclosed that operatives stormed the residence in Kaduna in the early hours of Tuesday, leading to the arrest of the former minister and the two other suspects.
