The development comes days after gunmen invaded Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School and Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, on May 15, abducting several pupils, students and school officials.

Residents of Yawota community in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have fled their homes following fears of another attack by bandits after the recent abduction of pupils and teachers in the area.

The development comes days after gunmen invaded Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School and Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, on May 15, abducting several pupils, students and school officials.

The attack triggered panic across nearby communities, forcing many residents to reportedly relocate to safer areas over fears that the gunmen could strike again.
