Jaguar Land Rover’s annual profit for 2025 plunged by more than 99 percent, in part due to a damaging cyber-attack in late October that was part of a string of such incidents in the UK last year.

The company made £14 million in profit before tax in the year to March, down from £2.5bn the previous year.

It reported a loss of £244m after tax, compared to £1.8bn in the previous year. JLR previously lost £100m in the 2022-23 fiscal year.

JLR’s sales were initially affected by US tariffs introduced last April, which began at 25 percent and were later lowered to 10 percent, followed by the cyber-attack that occurred at a critical time of year for new vehicle sales.
