Interswitch, an integrated digital payments and commerce company, has partnered with the Asaba Airport Company to deploy a smart parking system aimed at improving operational efficiency and passenger experience at the Asaba International Airport.
The solution, known as the Interswitch Parking Management Platform, introduces a fully automated parking and access control system designed to streamline airport operations and enhance mobility within the airport environment.
The firm stated in a statement on Monday that the initiative comes amid rising passenger and vehicular traffic across Nigeria’s airports, which has increased demand for smarter infrastructure and improved traffic management systems.
According to the partners, the deployment of the PMP will enable real-time parking analytics, faster vehicle processing at entry and exit points, reduced congestion, and improved traffic flow across the airport premises.
Commenting on the partnership, Vice President, Transport Ecosystem at Interswitch, Nnenna Ajanwachuku, said.
