Guwahati: Assam based Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), signed a commercial agreement with and Progressive Fertichem Private Limited (PFPL) for the sale of 52,500 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Sulphur per annum.Under this agreement, 52,500 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Sulphur will be sold annually from the Numaligarh Refinery. According to the refinery authorities, this marks the very first commercial agreement signed for any product to be manufactured after the massive NRL Expansion Project. With this, the company has achieved a major market breakthrough in its post-expansion phase.The company stated a dedicated team of officers from NRL’s Marketing and Finance departments had been working continuously for nearly four years to bring this important agreement to fruition. By highly efficiently managing long-drawn discussions, resolving commercial and financial complexities, and sorting out procedural issues, the team finally succeeded in executing the contract. The refinery management has highly praised the coordination and perseverance of these officers.The company added this agreement secures a long-term and assured off-take arrangement for the Sulphur to be produced at the refinery. This development clearly reflects NRL's readiness to hit the market with products from its expanded capacity at the right time.This well-planned and value-accretive commercial partnership will pave the way for increasing the company's revenue.NRL officials stated "This agreement is not just a commercial transaction; rather, it is a bright reflection of our expanded capacity and value-accretive partnerships.
