Gardaí are seeking witnesses after a man in his 60s died in a tractor crash in Co Leitrim on Sunday night. It brings to five the number of fatalities on the State’s roads at the weekend.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene after gardaí and emergency services attended the site of the single-vehicle incident shortly after 11pm on Sunday.
It took place on the L3355 near Mullaghycullen, Drumcong, Co Leitrim.
The remains of the man were removed to Sligo University Hospital, with the local coroner informed and a postmortem to take place in due course.
