May 18 (UPI) -- Black-ish actress Tracee Ellis Ross is heading to Broadway.

Producers announced Monday that Ross, 53, will make her Broadway debut in the one-person show Every Brilliant Thing.

Ross will replace Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay in the play by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe. The production features a character looking back at their life and "the glimmers of hope" that carried them through.

"All told through a list of every wonderful, beautiful, and delightful thing -- big, small, and everything in between -- that makes life worth living," an official synopsis reads.
