MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives’ prosecution team has formally entered its appearance in Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial at the Senate, with Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro being named as the lead public prosecutor.
Documents shared on Monday by the House committee on justice listed the 11-person prosecution team, and asked that all communications and documents be furnished to Luistro.
The said document was submitted by House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil to the Senate at 5:32 p.m. on Monday — just after the Senate convened itself as an impeachment court.
