Bruno Fernandes has joined an elite list of Premier League legendary playmakers after equalling the record for the most assists in a single season.
The Manchester United captain registered his 20th assist of the 2025-26 campaign during United’s dramatic 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest over the weekend, drawing level with Thierry Henry (2002-03) and Kevin De Bruyne (2019-20), who previously shared the record.
Fernandes now heads into the final round of matches with the chance to become the outright holder of the record, sparking debate over who is the greatest playmaker in Premier League history.
