US energy storage firm Fluence has signed two master supply agreements (MSA) with “major” hyperscale data centers, according to its latest earnings call.

The deals will see Fluence act as the qualified supplier for the two unnamed hyperscalers. The first order is expected in Q3 of this year, and reflects the firm's focus on the market as a crucial offtaker for its technology.

“These MSAs established Fluence as a qualified supplier, positioning us to build on expected near-term data center projects for both hyperscalers,” said Julian Jose Marquez, CEO, Fluence.

Fluence sells an integrated stack of grid-scale battery storage hardware and the software to run it, with products ranging from utility-scale systems to AI-driven bidding software that optimizes revenues across more than 13.3GW of assets under management.
