The DA has appointed Glynnis Breytenbach as Chief Whip in the National Assembly, with George Michalakis saying she brings extensive parliamentary and legal experience to the party’s leadership structure.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has appointed Advocate Glynnis Breytenbach as its new Chief Whip in the National Assembly.

The party said she brings extensive parliamentary and legal experience and will play a key role in managing the party’s work in Parliament and within the Government of National Unity (GNU).

DA Parliamentary Leader George Michalakis announced the appointment, saying Breytenbach brings 12 years of parliamentary experience as well as decades of experience as a senior state prosecutor.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Adv Glynnis Breytenbach as the Democratic Alliance’s new Chief Whip in the National Assembly,” Michalakis said.
