Cristiana Capotondi, Chiara Francini, Corinne Cléry, Marco Risi, and Vincenzo De Lucia will be some of the protagonists of the Marefestival Salina Premio Troisi along with the master Giancarlo Giannini (guest of honor) and Maria Grazia Cucinotta. The event, which will take place on the Aeolian island from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 14, is promoted by journalists Massimiliano Cavaleri (artistic director), Patrizia Casale, and Francesco Cappello and has reached its 15th edition. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 27 at 10:30 AM in the Press Room of the Sicilian Regional Assembly in Palermo (Palazzo dei Normanni). The one-on-one interviews, curated by host Nadia La Malfa and author Giovanni Pontillo, retrace the careers of the awardees, who will receive the painting-sculpture created by resin master Antonello Arena. Capotondi, Francini, and Cléry will be awarded in the Actors category, Marco Risi in the Directors section, and for the Comedians Vincenzo De Lucia.
Cristiana Capotondi made her television debut as a teenager in the TV series "Amico mio" and established herself on TV and in advertising. Her cinematic success came with Notte prima degli esami (which earned her a nomination for the David di Donatello as best leading actress). After beginnings in Christmas films by Neri Parenti, she was relaunched by Fausto Brizzi and is often referred to as the "Italian Jodie Foster".
