Alpha Gas, part of the group controlled by Anna Angelicoussis, announced the successful delivery of the newly built “Energy Pioneer,” the first in a series of four VLGC/VLAC vessels.According to a company post on social media, the delivery of the vessel marks an important milestone in the company’s strategic planning, with management placing particular emphasis on the contribution of the technical team to the completion of the shipbuilding program. At the same time, the “Energy Pioneer” signals the expansion of Alpha Gas’s presence into another specialized segment of the gas transportation market.The group is demonstrating strong activity in the newbuilding sector. Alpha Gas has reached agreements for the construction of two LNG carriers in South Korea, while Alpha Bulkers has ordered 11 feeder containerships in China. In parallel, Pantheon Tankers has entered into an agreement for the construction of four 306,000-dwt VLCCs.
