A woman from China who did not have sufficient funds to purchase a return ticket to China was detained after behaving aggressively while attempting to pass through the international departure gate at Terminal 1 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Police said the incident occurred at about 1:35 p.m. on May 16 at International Departure Gate C, where the woman was found attempting to pass through the security inspection autogate without a valid flight ticket, Bernama reported.

The woman became aggressive when approached by security personnel for inspection.

Initial investigations found that the woman had entered Malaysia on April 30 for a holiday with a friend but did not have sufficient funds to purchase a return ticket to China, Free Malaysia Today reported.
