A total of 195 combat clashes were recorded between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders along the front line as of 22:00 on May 17, with the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors remaining the hottest.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in its operational update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Since the beginning of this day, there have been 195 combat clashes in total. The enemy carried out 76 airstrikes and dropped 201 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 4,851 kamikaze drones and conducted 1,994 strikes on settlements and positions of our troops, the update said.

On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, there were four clashes. The enemy carried out two airstrikes, used three guided bombs, and conducted 71 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, five of them using multiple launch rocket systems.

On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions eight times near Vovchanski Khutory, Dvorichanske, Starytsia, Veterynarne and toward Ternova, Okhrimivka, and Kolodiazne. One engagement is still ongoing.
