Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC, in partnership with Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited and Mastercard, has launched a new range of co-branded debit and prepaid cards for Berger’s dealers and painters across the country.The initiative aims to empower dealers and painters with improved purchasing power, seamless digital payment facilities, and greater inclusion in the formal financial system through tailored financial solutions.The co-branded cards are designed to help users build stronger financial profiles over time, enabling better access to formal banking services, including loans. Both cards offer secure cashless payment options as well as convenient, fee-free cash withdrawals through Dutch-Bangla Bank’s extensive ATM network.Ahteshamul H Khan, managing director and CEO of Dutch-Bangla Bank PLC; Rupali Chowdhury, managing director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited; and Syed Mohammad Kamal, country manager for Bangladesh at Mastercard, jointly inaugurated the cards at a programme in Dhaka yesterday, according to a press release.At the event, Khan said the collaboration reflects the bank’s commitment to expanding access to innovative and inclusive banking solutions, enabling it to reach a vital segment with secure and rewarding financial services that support long-term financial wellbeing.Chowdhury said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to empower users with tools that enhance financial flexibility, improve everyday convenience and create new growth opportunities.Kamal said the collaboration enables an important workforce to benefit from greater convenience, security and everyday value.The new prepaid card for painters offers exclusive privileges through Mastercard’s Priceless Specials platform at over 10,000 outlets nationwide.It also provides discounts of up to 30 percent on dining and healthcare, up to 35 percent at electronics merchants, up to 50 percent at hotels and resorts, up to 10 percent on air tickets, and up to 60 percent on selected e-commerce platforms.For Berger’s dealers, the debit card offers benefits including buy-one-get-one dining deals, 10–25 percent retail discounts, and up to 50 percent savings on hotel and resort bookings.Cardholders will also receive benefits from seasonal campaigns during Eid, Ramadan, Durga Puja and other occasions, along with cashback on contactless and selected transactions.Zakia Sultana, director of Bangladesh Mastercard; Md Abedur Rahman Sikder, deputy managing director of the bank; Abul Kasem Mohammad Sadeque Nawaj, chief business officer; and Salahuddin Ahmed Tarek, chief marketing officer of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, along with senior officials from all three organisations, were also present.
