COPD guideline-recommended care differs by sex, overall rates low in veterans

SAN FRANCISCO — More women vs. men veterans with COPD received spirometry and tobacco cessation interventions, but more men received correct maintenance inhaler therapy, according to study findings.This research, which also found low rates for each outcome in both sexes, was presented at the American Thoracic Society International Conference.
