A seven-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being injured in a retail park car crash. The crash at Elk Mill Retail Park in Royton happened at around 12.30pm on Saturday. Roads were closed as emergency services responded to the scene. Greater Manchester Police said the child was taken to hospital 'as a precaution', but thankfully his injuries are 'not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing'. No arrests have so far been made and roads were later reopened. In a statement, GMP said: 'We were called just after 12.30pm to reports of an RTC involving a child on Broadway, Elk Mill Retail Park.'Emergency services attended and road closures were put in place. Elk Mill Retail Park in Royton, where the incident happened on Saturday 'The child was taken to hospital as a precaution however injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.'No arrests were made and the roads reopened shortly after 1.10pm.No further details have been revealed.
