A cabinet reshuffle has taken place in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, while discussions are underway for similar exercises in several other BJP-ruled states, including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.Earlier this month, MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met BJP national chief Nitin Nabin and submitted a report card on ministers. On Friday, BJP Madhya Pradesh in-charge Mahendra Singh also met Nabin. The government was formed in 2023 and no reshuffle has taken place in the state since then, except for the induction of senior leader Ramniwas Rawat into the cabinet in 2024. The BJP's recent victory in the local body elections has strengthened Saini's position in the state. He also presented a report card on ministers and sought the removal of some senior leaders from the cabinet.Last Sunday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma too met Nabin. The party has decided to make changes in these states, and some state leaders may find a place in Nabin's new central organisational team.
