RIYADH: Jazan region continues to solidify its status as a premier hub for tropical fruit production, with mangoes emerging as a leading national brand.

Accounting for approximately 60 percent of the Kingdom’s total output, Jazan produces more than 65,000 tonnes of mangoes annually, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The region’s fertile soil and temperate climate support more than 1 million trees across governorates like Sabya and Abu Arish, yielding over 60 varieties.

Recent advancements in modern irrigation, fertilization, and pest control have significantly improved fruit quality and market competitiveness.

Supported by agricultural development programs under Saudi Vision 2030, these efforts focus on enhancing agricultural sustainability and expanding processing industries.
