The Rivers State Police Command has announced that a disciplinary process has been initiated against ASP Ekawhe Thomas, following an alleged act of negligence that led to the escape of a suspect under his watch.
In a press statement released on the Command’s official social media page on Saturday, the police confirmed that ASP Ekawhe Thomas, with service number AP/No. 196838, attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Rivers, has been detained and issued a formal query in line with Nigeria Police Force (NPF) disciplinary procedures.

ASP Agabe Blessing Kaborlo, the Police Public Relations Officer, signed the statement on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command.
