MANILA, Philippines — Support for the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte remained strong even among lawmakers from Mindanao and the Visayas, long considered bailiwicks of the Duterte family, House prosecutor and Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon said Saturday.
Ridon, chair of the House Committee on Public Accounts, said the House vote showed that support for the impeachment complaint cut across political lines, regions and alliances.

“The 257 represents 80 percent of the entire House. So the vote to impeach the Vice President was overwhelming,” Ridon said during the Saturday News Forum at Dapo Restaurant in Quezon City.
