The 14-horse Preakness field includes three Derby entrants, led by Ocelli, which finished third. That doesn’t mean there won’t still be familiar Derby faces on Saturday. With Golden Tempo not running its jockey, Jose Ortiz, will instead ride Chip Honcho. How to watch the 2026 Preakness StakesDate: Saturday, May 16Live coverage time: Begins at 1 p.m. ET on Peacock and continues on NBC and Peacock at 4 p.m.Post time for Preakness Stakes: 6:50 p.m. ETWhere: Laurel Park in Laurel, MarylandTV Network: NBCStreaming: PeacockThe essentialsWho: 14, 3-year-old horsesPurse: $2 million ($1.2 million for first place)Distance: 1 3/16 milesPost positions with odds via NBC SportsNo. 1 Taj Mahal (5-1)Jockey: Sheldon Russell | Trainer: Brittany RussellFinish at Kentucky Derby: Did not run.
