Putin simplifies access to Russian citizenship in unrecognised Transnistria

Russian ruler Vladimir Putin has signed a decree simplifying the procedure for granting Russian citizenship to residents of the unrecognised Transnistria.

Source: Radio Liberty, citing a document posted on the official legal information portal of the Russian Federation

Details: It said in the decree that the simplified citizenship procedure now applies to adult foreign nationals and stateless persons permanently residing in Transnistria at the time the document comes into force.
