Within the next two weeks, the agreement for the acquisition of fish farming company Avramar by Canadian company Cooke is expected to be completed, said Joel Richardson, vice president of Cooke Inc, addressing the 4th International Aquaculture Conference that began on Friday in Athens and concludes on Saturday.
He did not rule out more acquisitions in Greece by his company: “My experience at Cooke has shown me that we always focus on the organic growth of the company we acquire first. But wherever else we have bought a company, we also explore other possible acquisitions in the same country.”
