Fifth Season and HarbourView Equity Partners have set a multi-picture financing pact that will help the indie film and TV production outfit bring to life a number of projects including Dev Patel‘s “The Peasant” and the Mila Kunis thriller “Nightwatching.”

The deal adds to the film, TV and music investment bets that HarbourView Equity is placing at a time of transition for entertainment media. The company has done a lot of business investing in promising indie production ventures, including Charles D. King’s MACRO and “The Long Game” producer Mucho Mas Media. It also has a growing portfolio of music and music publishing assets.

Fifth Season is the mid-sized indie owned since 2022 by CJ ENM, one of South Korea’s biggest entertainment and retail conglomerates. Fifth Season is CJ ENM’s biggest foray into U.S. film and TV production.

“This partnership gives us the opportunity to further scale our slate of premium films,” said Chris Slager, president of film for Fifth Season. “HarbourView brings a sophisticated understanding of the entertainment ecosystem and a shared belief in the value of high-quality storytelling from exceptional talent. We look forward to working with them on ‘The Peasant,’ ‘Nightwatching’ and other equally resonant films in the future.”
