The Delhi Congress on Friday appointed 14 district presidents to strengthen the party’s presence at the district level under its ‘Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan’ campaign.Earlier this week, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) had announced fresh appointments, including new vice-presidents, general secretaries and members of the political affairs committee, for the party’s State unit, which has not won a single Assembly seat in the past two elections.“Over the past 12 years, people in Delhi have suffered in silence because of the misrule and corruption by the Aam Aadmi Party and BJP governments. Congress workers are determined to work for the welfare of the people,” Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav said. The appointments were approved by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and announced in a statement issued by AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal. Published - May 16, 2026 12:34 am IST
