Tara Little, a social media manager in Darwin, Australia, lives in other people’s homes. As a full-time house sitter, she bounces from gig to gig every few months, weeks, or even days. “I live out of three suitcases,” she said. “But I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.”Little doesn’t rely on house-sitting alone for her income. Working from home as a social media manager for small businesses allows her to carry out house-sitting duties during the day — such as taking care of pets and plants — while saving most of her income. “It’s really easy to get used to not paying rental bills,” she said.
