Emmy-winning director and producer Jason Winer has been signed by United Talent Agency for representation in all areas.
Winer was the director of the “Modern Family” pilot, which premiered in 2009, as well as the producing director for the first season of the hit, landmark ABC comedy. He was part of the producing team that won the Emmy in 2010 for outstanding comedy series, and also was nominated for outstanding directing for a comedy series (for the “Modern Family” pilot). Winer was nominated again in the Emmy comedy directing category in 2012, for the episode “Virgin Territory.”
Among other accolades he won for “Modern Family” include Peabody, PGA, and AFI Awards, as well as the DGA Award for outstanding directorial achievement in comedy series. Winer ultimately directed 22 episodes of “Modern Family” over its 11-season run.
More recently, Winer executive produced Netflix’s “Vladimir,” starring Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall. Under his Small Dog Picture Company production banner, Winer developed and is executive producing and directing an untitled series for Apple TV starring Elizabeth Banks, from writers Liz Heldens and Matt Ward.
Beyond that, Winer and Small Dog Picture Company, have a slate of active projects currently in development across Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Fox and Universal Television.
