Network vendor Nokia has announced the appointment of Emma Falck as its president of mobile infrastructure.

Falck will join the company on September 1 and will also become a member of the Nokia group leadership team.

The appointment comes months after Nokia outlined a change in strategy, which led to the departure of its former mobile networks chief Tommi Uitto.

As part of this strategy, the company merged its core network, radio access network (RAN), and patent portfolios into a new Mobile Infrastructure division. Nokia CEO Justin Hotard has been the interim leader of the division.
